Let’s introduce our new board member: Christine van Noort

Let’s introduce our new board member: Christine van Noort

We have a new board member: Christine van Noort! Who is she?

Christine got to know Mukomeze for the first time in 2009 during the 15th commemoration of the Rwandan genocide at the University of Tilburg. During this commemoration the book ‘The Men Who Killed Me’ was presented. In december 2009, Christine became one of our regular volunteers. In the meantime, Christine has visited Rwanda twice; in 2014 for a period of five weeks en in June of this year with the organised trip of Mukomeze. At Mukomeze, Christine will take over the sponsorship programme from Anne-Marie and she will support Pinar with the PR.

In her daily life Christine is a lawyer in administrative law for Yacht (part of the Randstad Holding). Through Yacht she is detached to several local goverments in the Netherlands. She likes reading, cooking, backing, walking and playing board games.

Christine herself is overexcited about her new function as board member. Christine: ‘During my studies I heard incredible stories about Rwanda, told by other Mukomeze board members. In 2014, I finally got the opportunity to travel to Rwanda for a longer period. What a beautiful country and what an amazing people. I totally fell in love. I am so happy that Mukomeze gave me the opportunity to deepen my bond and to do something (back) for the women of Rwanda.’

Welcome Christine!
