
Our partner in Rwanda is Solace Ministries, a grassroots organisation established after the genocide in 1995 by survivors to assist other survivors, particularly widows, orphans and women and girls infected with HIV.
Solace Ministries strives to meet the needs of those who are suffering in a holistic
manner, by providing them with physical, psychological, material and spiritual care.
The organisation is ecumenical and welcomes individuals of all faiths. Solace Ministries
is run by Jean Gakwandi, staffed by 26 full-

during the genocide and diagnosed HIV-
